Virtual discussion on the future of urban innovation in Kathmandu

Utopia is an urban innovation group for emerging cities and their slums. They are building an urban ecosystem for emerging cities by establishing a network of urban venture studios across Asia, Africa, and Latin America. On March 18 2020, Utopia announced the launch of the first CITYLAB, which is home for urban innovation, in Kathmandu.

Following the COVID19 lockdown, CITYLAB has come up with its first-ever event that will discuss the future of Kathmandu post COVID19 crisis. It will also discuss how urban entrepreneurs and everyone else can help in shaping the future of the city.

The contributors for the discussion are Celine D’Cruz– Founding Member of Shack/Slumdwellers International (SDI) and current urban practitioner with Asian Coalition for Housing Rights (ACHR), Ranju Darshana– former Kathmandu mayoral candidate and current Central Committee Member of Bibeksheel Nepali political party, Dipta Shah- founder of 54i Ventures and Dori Nguyen- Managing Partner of Utopia Kathmandu.
