Nepalese Young Entrepreneur Forum (NYEF) held its 5th Young Entrepreneur Summit – Women 2019 in Kathmandu on 1st March 2019 in partnership with Laxmi Bank as its title sponsor entailing the vision of “Empowering Positive Business Thinking”, and its 4 core values: “Growth with Shared Vision”, “Hunger for Learning”, “Nation First”, and “Make a mark”. The theme of the summit was to Connect, Collaborate, Create and is being organized with an objective to facilitate links and networks among women entrepreneurs and build connections with the wider entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, students and professionals.
The event was graced by Honorable Finance Minister Dr. Yubraj Khatiwada as the Chief Guest, as the chief keynote speaker stating various initiatives and mandates offered by the government to facilitate the ecosystem for women entrepreneurs. He encouraged the young audience to indulge in economic ventures and to make optimum use of programs introduced by government.
The summit started with lighting of panas and a welcome speech by Mr. Ajay Shrestha, President, NYEF followed by the speed networking and energizer conducted by Karkhana adding to the fun element. Bharati Pande, head Strategy and marketing, Laxmi Bank unveiled specialized loan scheme for women collateral security, interest rates and other financial packages. The summit was followed by entrepreneurial journey sharing, inspirational stories sharing, workshop, panel discussions and networking sessions.
The summit gave utmost priority to facilitate links and networks among women entrepreneurs and build connections with the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem, catering to startup- entrepreneurs, students, working men and women professional, homemakers and entrepreneurs.
