After four successful years of having organized a women’s run on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the 5k Fun Run is back again to reclaim the streets of Lalitpur.
Organized collaboratively by Higher Ground Nepal, Pangro and Ford Nepal (along with 15 different community partner organizations), the run is all set to take place at 7:00 am, 16 March, 2018 Saturday from St. Xavier’s School Ground.
With over 1500 participants and 400 community volunteers expected this year; the run aims to bring together the community to celebrate International Women’s Day in hopes of inspiring and empowering women and girls. Although the race was limited to only women and girls in the past years, this year everyone is welcome to join and support the cause of Women and Girls Empowerment. This year’s theme is #BalanceForBetter. The event intends to give the message that Gender balance is essential for economies and communities to thrive.
