The National Final event of Climate Launchpad Nepal 2020 was held this Monday on September 7, where 7 “green” start-ups from Nepal working towards Climate Change mitigation or adaptation presented their business pitches.
After the national finals, three green startups have been coined the winner,1st runner up and 2nd runner up. These 3 green startups are:
1. Chyau.bio: Chayu.bio produces and sell cost-effective and eco-friendly insulation panels made from mycelium substrate. They are also the top 15 finalists of Udhyami Yuwa Challenge.

2. Green Coins: Green Coins develop virtual coins that can be earned by performing eco-friendly activities and spent on partner platforms for discounts or giveaways. They were also the participants of BLincubator.

3. Simi Stove: Simi Stove produces and sell inexpensive and portable clean-cooking stoves designed specifically to burn safe as well as environment-friendly ethanol and bio-ethanol fuels.
These 3 startups will be representing Nepal in the 1st edition of virtual CLP South Asia 2020 happening on September 12, 2020 with participation from Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Bhutan.
The top 10 start-ups from CLP South Asia will contend with finalists from the other regions at the virtual CLP Global Finale 2020 happening on September 30, October 1 and 2.
