In his artwork you will find trauma, tragedies, resignation and acceptance.

Mr. Kabi Raj Lama was pursuing his dream of studying art at the prestigious Meisei University Center of Art and Design, Tokyo, when the terrible Tsunami hit the nation in 2011. The natural disaster shook the artist to his core. Trauma of surviving natural disaster was exacerbated by inescapable loneliness and alienation of living in a foreign land. While battling his depression and isolation in Japan Mr. Kabi Raj studied range of printmaking techniques from wood-cutting to etching and majored in Lithography.

After returning to his homeland, he was struck with yet another blow- the devastating earthquake of 2015. The series of unfortunate events propelled the artist to create beautiful art series Fragments and contribute as fellow at Harvard University.

Lithography studio Nepal is an up and coming venture of Mr. Kabi Raj Lama. With which he aims to make Lithography as an art form more accessible to artists in Nepal.
